  • Juliet Stevenson

    Actor

‘I have known Lucy for many years through my role as Ambassador for Amnesty International UK. Lucy and I have worked on countless projects, events and campaigns. I am delighted that she now supports my philanthropy at Do Good. Well.

It is impossible to exaggerate when talking about Lucy’s skills and talents, particularly in the crucial area of interface with the public and the press. She is extraordinarily efficient, reliable and always delivers what she has pledged to do.

Her ideas and inspiration when dreaming up ways to advocate and reach out to new communities to enlist support and extend understanding are phenomenal.

Her people skills are extremely impressive, and even under real pressure she is always optimistic, calm, reassuring, courteous and good-humoured.

Her commitment to building a better world is tireless, as is her capacity to follow through on turning that commitment into ideas, strategies and events.

She is a complete delight to deal with in every way. I would urge anyone in a position to work with her to grab the opportunity. You won’t be disappointed!’

  • Micheal Ward

    Actor

‘Lucy has been incredible and such a delight to work with.

Not only is she immensely supportive, but she has also been extremely determined in helping me identify which areas of charitable causes I have a personal affinity for and how best to support them.

I've always wanted to help wherever possible and she has made it such an enjoyable and seamless process.

The importance and significance of philanthropy is unquestionable, but I never thought it would also be such a fun part of my journey, but it really has been; from helping me support places that mean so much to me personally like Jamaica and tying it together with my home in London.

It has helped to impact people in two countries worlds apart, but both with people desperately in need of support.

Ultimately, working with Lucy at Do Good. Well. has been an amazing journey and I hope to work with her again in the future.‘

‘I’ve worked with Lucy in her role as Talent Producer at Amnesty International UK for over four years. She convinced me to be an Amnesty Ambassador and then supported me in taking on the Secret Policeman brand as Creative Director.

I don’t know what I’d have done without her understanding, connection, mediation and support and would recommend her to anyone with profile who needs meaningful liaison services with the charity sector.

She has years of expertise, experience and passion and will empower you to do good well.

Also she’s really good fun. Partner with her with confidence.’

‘We worked with Lucy in her capacity as Talent Producer at Amnesty International UK and can honestly say she has been a great support as we’ve navigated new ways to use our platform as performers positively. It’s a funny position to find yourself in, being gifted a sort of ‘voice’ all of a sudden when there is so much information that’s accessible on the global picture – sometimes it’s hard to find the things that really matter amidst it all, sometimes it’s even harder to know what you can do.

Lucy kept us informed on global issues in a really clear and useful way, cutting through that noise and helping us to identify areas in which we could potentially make a difference and help us avoid a situation where we are just ranting into an echo chamber.

Lucy knew we were particularly keen to try and be more proactive around the refugee crisis and had strong connections with football in Leeds, so we worked together on the 'Families Together' and 'Refugees Welcome' campaigns. We learned a lot more about the overall situation, and were able to find ways of trying to offer allyship through marching, attending parliament to hear the Bill being debated and on the ground supporting this campaign. We also worked on fundraising and awareness raising at our concerts.

Working with Lucy has taught us that we all have something to offer and that it’s possible to learn whilst being active in our support. Even if we might feel we don’t know enough at the outset, learning is all a part of it - knowing we want to do something is enough, and with support from individuals like Lucy we can make positive change happen. ‘

  • Vick Hope

    Broadcaster and Author

‘I love working with Lucy and Do Good. Well. She’s helped me to define my values and focus my philanthropy.

I’ve always cared deeply about supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in my communities, especially through literacy and music which bring me such joy. Lucy connected me with incredible charities doing just that. She’s helped lay a clear and realistic path for my philanthropy doing what I can to help with the time and resources I have, in a smart, effective and hopefully impactful and tangible way. I’m so excited to continue this journey.

Lucy has a pretty unique understanding and experience of both the charity sector and working with high profile clients. We met through my ambassadorship with Amnesty International, and chatted about extending my charity work to grassroots organisations. While she’s incredibly networked and great at matching talent with organisations to find the right fit, that’s just the start!

She channels your authenticity and passion into a superpower to drive positive change on issues you care deeply about.

Lucy is also lovely and great to work with, super organised and makes everything so clear - I’d fully recommend her to anyone needing support or guidance with their philanthropy!’

She has been pivotal in effectively guiding my advocacy in the UK, including meetings with Members of Parliament, in order to impact substantive change. Lucy’s insight and experience have been invaluable in helping me navigate this work with care and nuance.

In a field that can often feel overwhelming and disappointing, her grounded, kind and positive nature have been a constant source of strength and encouragement.

Lucy is the best partner and guide anyone could ask for, in making their philanthropic dreams a reality.’

  • Christopher Herbert

CEO & Founder, Fit For Life Youth

'I love working with Lucy at Do Good. Well. Lucy first approached us when she started working with the singer, Mabel, who is passionate about supporting young people in her local community. Lucy immediately saw the importance of the work we are doing and how it makes such a positive change to young people's lives. She introduced us to Mabel, who is a perfect fit for us, and has worked with us to facilitate a number of visits that went brilliantly. Mabel enjoys supporting our girls' group and is such a positive role model. She is so invested in the lives of the young people and families we work with and has helped our organisation in so many ways. A fond memory I have is when Lucy and Mabel came to our Summer holiday party, all the children really enjoyed themselves and myself and the team really appreciated them being there and helping out. Strategically, Lucy initiated helpful discussions with other organisations to improve youth provision across the borough.

But most importantly, Lucy really listened to our needs and combined these with her understanding of Mabel's passions and values, working with us to find the best use of her platform and profile while ensuring a truly meaningful experience for everyone involved. This has resulted in a deeply authentic and meaningful relationship. I would highly recommend working with Lucy.'

  • Jenny Oklikah

    Chief Executive, Fight for Peace

‘It was a pleasure to work with Lucy. She had a real understanding of the work Fight for Peace does with young people and how she could add value through introducing the actor Micheal Ward to us. His visits to our London Academy and Jamaica project were very special and positive for all involved.

Colleagues who worked with Lucy found her to be super professional and committed.

Lucy is easy to communicate with, very dependable, responsive in answering queries, leaving us feeling really confident about her approach.

In particular, she was very respectful of and sensitive to the way we work at Fight for Peace, which involves using appropriate language to talk about our work and the young people we work with, as well specific procedures around safeguarding/consent. This brought great authenticity to the relationship we built together, as she clearly genuinely cared about playing a role in supporting Fight for Peace. We created a strong bond of trust, and were able to work together seamlessly.’

  • Margaret Clift

Head of Strategic Philanthropy, University of Glasgow

Lucy has an incredible commitment to, and knowledge of human rights, combined with drive, energy and a fantastic sense of humour. She has unsurpassed experience of working creatively with international artists to benefit important causes. She also has expertise in both generating donations and in grant-making.

Lucy’s knowledge, passion and personality would be a great asset to anyone who wanted to develop their institutional or personal philanthropy, or to use their creative endeavours for good.’

  • Alison Ive

    The Joy Approach

‘Lucy is one of life’s magical and memorable people. We worked together on strategy development at Amnesty International UK.

She’s a light that shines really brightly! She’s bold, a complete grafter and soooooo tenacious. She is passionate about social change, but not “worthy”.

She’s funny, down to earth and utterly human, always herself – one of the most authentic people I know. She gets stuff done, and does it well. She’s humble but full of experience, creative and quick thinking. Completely trustworthy and discrete.

Everyone needs a Lucy in their life to guide them through the philanthropy landscape.’
